Fraud charges against former Blue Bell CEO related to listeria outbreak reduced to fine
, and he pleaded guilty on Wednesday to a misdemeanor under the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
In an emailed statement to the Chronicle, Flood added, “Mr. Kruse was the CEO at the time the product was made so the misdemeanor applies. At the trial last August we were able to show that he never committed fraud so the charges needed to be dismissed.”
