The manager had been at the front desk helping a customer before heading back to her mobile home and seeing the haze of smoke, according to Upper Allen Township Fire Chief Tom Shumberger.

Upper Allen Township Fire Chief Tom Shumberger Jr. said the mobile home, positioned about six feet from the back of the motel at 381 Cumberland Parkway, was connected to the main building through an enclosed walkway.
