After another accidental brush with high loot drop rates, it's clear Anthem needs to make them permanent.
“We appreciate all the feedback from the community on the game. We love the passion and share it. We’re not yet fully happy with the game’s loot behavior either. One of the downsides of moving so fast to improve is that we’re making changes to complex loot systems in several areas and it’s then harder to know how it’s performing. In the next few months, we’re expecting to make significant changes, but we’re starting with some incremental ones so we can better navigate that evolution.
The problem is that incremental changes are not what fans are looking for. They want the loot faucet to simply be turned on full blast right now the way they’ve seen twice since launch. Twitch streamer said yesterday that when the reaction to something like this is universal celebration, that’s what you should be doing, and I agree.I wasn’t sure about the idea that simply dumping loot into the game would fix its problems.
I don’t think incremental changes are what the game needs right now, at least not in this area. The faster the loot issue is addressed, the more hope I have for the longer term prospects of, because otherwise I am not sure what’s going to keep players around with so much other competition, and such an unrewarding grind at the moment.
