.PressSec announced that President JoeBiden will host a press conference with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at the White House on June 8.
Sunak's planned visit comes after the two leaders met at the G7 conference in Hiroshima, Japan, in late May.Unlike his predecessors, Biden frequently eschews traditional"two-plus-two" joint press conferences while hosting foreign leaders.
"To preempt any questions that will come from here about a two-plus-two press conference during the visit, both leaders are looking forward to hosting a joint, two-plus-two press conference on June 8," Jean-Pierre stated. Jean-Pierre added that Biden and Sunak will"review a range of global issues, including our shared support for Ukraine as it defends itself against Russia's brutal war of aggression, as well as further action to bolster energy security and address the climate crisis.
"The president and the prime minister will also discuss efforts to continue strengthening our economic relationship, as we confront our shared economic and national security challenges," she continued."They will also review developments in Northern Ireland as part of their shared commitment to preserving the gains of the Belfast Good Friday agreement."You can watch Tuesday's briefing in full below.
