Tuesday night was your first chance to tell Bexar County leaders what you want them to prioritize in their newest budget.
"Everything we do affects one another. I mean, you can't just stay within your own district or your own precinct all the time," Edmund Olszewski, who attended the budget meeting, said. Commissioner Moody laid out his goals: improving public safety, fiscal responsibility and improving infrastructure."We had a workshop meeting today and we had a really great, robust discussion in regard to debt management and capital improvement projects," Judge Sakai said.
The County will also be dealing with the loss of AARPA dollars, which will now force the county to deal with the reality of the project costs the money funded. “The watershed is changing so dramatically - because of rapid development in Precinct 4 flooding, and water drainage those are real priorities I don't think should wait because life safety is really a concern,” Precinct Four Commissioner Tommy Calvert said.
