Postdoc Position Available at National Institutes of Health The Intramural Program of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is a major research component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

The Intramural Program of the National Institute of Mental Health is a major research component of the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Health and Human Services . Within this program, the Section on Synapse Development Plasticity uses molecular and cellular biological approaches, two-photon microscopy, and electrophysiology in mice and magnetoencephalography in humans to investigate the molecular, cellular, and circuit mechanisms underlying frustration and irritability.

This position requires a PhD or MD/PhD degree in neuroscience and skill in programming with MATLAB and Python. Research experience in MEG,two-photon/miniscope imaging, and mouse brain surgery is desired. For qualified candidates this is an excellent opportunity to pursue translational research in mice and humans using a combination of cutting-edge experimental approaches. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
