A Cincinnati Bengals defensive end suffered a season-ending torn Achilles.
Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Cam Sample tore his Achilles and will miss the entire 2024 season, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor told reporters on Monday.'Cam Sample had an injury the other day, he tore his Achilles. He'll be out for the season,' Taylor said. 'That was unfortunate. Cam's been a huge part of our team, played a lot of different roles, been awesome in the locker room. We'll obviously support him during his recovery and plan on him being around.
Here are videos from the injury, per Caleb Noe on X:Sample, 24, was drafted in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Bengals. He appeared in all 17 games last season, securing 1.5 sacks, one tackle for loss, and one pass defended. He also had 29 tackles and eight quarterback hits.Sample has appeared in 47 games with the Bengals since being drafted. He's provided great depth at the defensive end position and has made three starts over the last two seasons.
