The Kamala Harris-inspired ice cream is part of a get-out-the-vote initiative to elect the vice president in November.
Last year, Vice President Kamala Harris went viral after talking about a coconut tree. Now she’s getting her own coconut ice cream flavor. On Thursday, MoveOn, a progressive public policy advocacy group, announced it would be partnering with Ben & Jerry’s co-founders Ben Cohen and Jerrry Greenfield to release a special Kamala Harris -inspired ice cream flavor.
A few thousand votes will decide whether we live under a democracy with Kamala Harris or a dictatorship with Donald Trump," MoveOn’s political action executive director Rahna Epting said. "MoveOn’s Scoop the Vote Ice Cream Truck Tour will meet voters where they are and help mobilize our communities to defeat Trump once and for all this fall."The tour will also stop in Ann Arbor, Michigan; Madison, Wisconsin; Phoenix and Las Vegas.
