Bellevue police launch new light rail patrol unit ahead of 2 Line grand opening

The BLU will patrol within the eight-stop route of the Link light rail 2 Line, both onboard the trains and in the stations.

In a press release, police said the BLU's mission is to "foster a safe and positive riding experience for individuals and families wishing to use the new Link Light Rail Service through Bellevue."“As the City of Bellevue continues to Link up with the greater Puget Sound region, our officers are committed to helping continue Bellevue’s reputation as being the go-to place to safely work, live, and play," Bellevue police Chief Wendell Shirley said.
