In celebration of Small Business Saturday, Bed-Stuy Gateway BID will once again bring its signature Winter Wonderland affair to Brooklyn’s central neighborhood.

Presented by Wells Fargo, the festive outdoor holiday shopping experience allows local merchants to increase foot traffic while offering crafters, creatives and small business owners a viable platform to showcase and sell their goods and services. The pop-up holiday marketplace kicks-off Small Business Saturday, Nov. 26, and runs Thursdays , Fridays & Saturdays through Dec. 23. Seasonal activities include the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, bike giveaway, picture with Santa and Mrs.

“Small businesses are every neighborhood’s beating heart, and with Winter Wonderland, the Bed-Stuy Gateway BID celebrates Bed-Stuy’s prolific creativity and entrepreneurial flair,” said Deborah Marton, executive director, Van Alen Institute. “We’re thrilled to help bring that vision to life and grateful for Wells Fargo’s continued support of this exciting community gathering.”

This year Bed Stuy Gateway BID will share its platform with local community stakeholders. Programming will include Community Thursdays, dedicated to nonprofit organizations, and Caroling in the Plaza on Fridays featuring yule-tide sing-alongs with local houses of worship. Additional family-friendly activities include pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, live music and much more.

“Winter Wonderland is back and better than ever,” said Daniel McPhee, executive director of the Urban Design Forum. “Under the brilliant leadership of Dale Charles and with the support of Moody Nolan, Dash Marshall, Gretel, Buro Happold and Fried Frank, Bed-Stuy’s small businesses are going to have the greatest holiday home across the five boroughs. We’re grateful to partner with the Bed-Stuy Gateway BID, Wells Fargo and Van Alen Institute to make this market possible for our third year running.
