The Ravens will potentially have two rookie starters this upcoming season. Here are how the Browns can attack them in their two matchups with Baltimore.
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The AFC North did a great job of improving their teams this offseason both through free agency and the NFL Draft. The Ravens, who already had an outstanding roster, decided to go “all in” with their addition of Derrick Henry.
On defense, Baltimore lost star linebacker Patrick Queen, who signed a three-year, $41-million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Even with the loss of Queen, Baltimore is loaded at all three levels of their defense with star defensive tackle Justin Madubuike, linebacker Roquan Smith and safety Kyle Hamilton. More than the personnel, the Ravens defense has a culture of physicality and toughness going back to the Ray Lewis days.
Nate Wiggins is an elite corner. Great length and speed. However, big bodied receivers could be a problem in the NFL. Here he cannot reroute the bigger Tez Walker. He then gets stacked and is beat for a TD. Below is look at Cooper using his size on a deep slant in the red zone against Derek Stingley Jr. These are the type of plays that could be an issue for the lighter Wiggins.
Roger Rosengarten will most likely be the starting RT for the Ravens. He has elite movement skills and athleticism. However, he will need to improve his pad level in the NFL. Here, he allows to defender to get into his chest first causing him to give too much ground.
