Sinton wins decisive third game against Boerne on Friday night to seal Region IV-4A final series

Merrell took the Greyhounds to the regional finals for the second time and had hoped for a state tournament breakthrough. The nightcap got away early for the Greyhounds, who were down 4-0 in the first and trailed 7-0 after innings. The reigning state champion Pirates won despite not having Stewart and Mitchell, who had to sit out one game because they were ejected in Friday’s first game.
