Audi ends factory GT3 racing program, will stop selling race cars in 2024.
the decision was made by Audi's board of directors on Monday.
The decision means Audi's factory efforts in places like the Fanatec GT World Challenge and DTM series will end after the 2023 season. The company says it will also end new sales of its GT2, GT3, GT4 and TCR models after the first quarter of 2024, according to the memo. “We have informed [them] today that we won’t have the possibility to run them in the pro environment, which is the base of the lineup today,” Reinke added.
