The deadly crash happened in Egg Harbor Township on Sept. 20.

The 64-year-old Egg Harbor Township man was driving the ATV in the area of Betsy Scull Road near the Atlantic County Firearms Training Facility in town shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 20 when he struck the utility pole, according to a release from the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.

The man had died before officers arrived, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The man was not identified Monday. No other details were released Monday as the crash was still under investigation by the department.
