Netflix releases a new Atlas trailer, a sci-fi movie starring Jennifer Lopez and Sterling K. Brown releasing this May.
“The film follows Atlas Shepherd , a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past,” the synopsis reads. “But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it.”, who previously made 2010’s Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, 2012’s Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, 2015’s San Andreas, 2016’s Incarnate, and 2018’s Rampage.
Atlas is produced by Peyton and Jeff Fierson for ASAP Entertainment, Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell for Safehouse Pictures, Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, and Benny Medina for Nuyorican Productions, and Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter for Berlanti/Schechter Films. Samson Mücke and Michael Riley McGrath serve as executive producers.
Lopez has worked with Netflix prior to Atlas, as she previously starred in 2023’s The Mother .
