The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to start outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon on Sunday.
The Pittsburgh Steelers never expected to be down three of their top four outside linebacker through just five weeks of the season. Yet, injuries to Alex Highsmith,, and DeMarvin Leal have left T.J. Watt as the last man standing. In Week 5, the Steelers got a boost when Jeremiah Moon came off injured reserve and returned after suffering an ankle injury in training camp.
Moon registered one pressure on Sunday against the Cowboys in his first extended action with the Steelers. Getting thrown in like he did, Moon struggled to get going right away, but he believes he can bring a lot of positive qualities to the room. He is telling the players, especially Moon, to just focus on executing their assignments and good things will happen.
Moon was an athletic player coming out of Florida in 2022, when he went undrafted and was scooped up by the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens had him on their active roster last year, and he made one start as injuries accumulated for them at outside linebacker.
