JUST IN: At least five people were killed and several more injured in a shooting attack at a synagogue in Jerusalem, Israeli emergency officials told Israel radio.

Police say the attacker was"neutralized" though other reports say they might be looking for another assailant.U.S. State Department spokesperson called Friday's shooting in Jerusalem an"absolutely horrific" attack."Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to those killed or injured in this heinous act of violence," he said."We condemn this apparent terrorist attack in the strongest terms. We are in direct touch with our Israeli partners.
