While details are still scarce, leaked images and rumors suggest that the FE will retain much of the design language seen on its flagship siblings. The phone is anticipated to feature a familiar camera module and the signature ROG logo on the back, available in at least Phantom Black.
It's likely to incorporate AirTrigger controls for a console-like gaming experience, a hallmark of the ROG Phone series. Internally, the ROG Phone FE is rumored to adopt a slightly different configuration compared to the flagship models. It will maintain the 50 MP primary camera with OIS and the 13 MP ultra-wide camera, but instead of the 32 MP telephoto lens, it may come equipped with a 5 MP macro camera. For selfies, a 32 MP front camera is expected. The most notable difference appears to be the absence of a telephoto lens, a feature found on the ROG Phone 7 and 9 Pro. It is expected to deliver a peak brightness of up to 2,500 nits for HDR content and 1,600 nits for full-screen brightness, ensuring excellent readability even in direct sunlight. The screen will likely include an in-display fingerprint sensor and be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The phone is also expected to retain the dual stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio support, a classic 3.5mm headphone jack, and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity found in the flagship models. Pricing for the ROG Phone FE is likely to be positioned as an affordable alternative to the flagship models, similar to Samsung's FE series.
