On top of the rivalry, Arizona State women's basketball (7-4) will be facing an Arizona (10-1) team that has climbed into the top 20 rankings.
For the Arizona State women’s basketball team's preparations ahead of the Pac-12 opener at Arizona, the Sun Devils can draw from its previous experience this season at GCU Arena.
The Wildcats have had a balanced scoring attack but it’s the defense that has stood out with Arizona limiting opponents to 58.7 points per game and ranking 13th in the country in scoring margin with 23.9 points. Against Arizona, the Sun Devils will be facing a familiar player in last year’s scoring leader, Jade Loville. Since joining the Wildcats, Loville has averaged 12.8 points per game. Arizona’s balanced offense features four players averaging in double figures.Although Loville’s exit from ASU could play a role in Thursday’s game with former teammates knowing about her game from last season, Adair doesn’t want that to overshadow the team’s game plan.
