Very short-lived halogens amplify ozone depletion trends in the tropical lower stratosphere - Nature Climate ChangeIn contrast to the overall recovery of stratospheric ozone, ozone depletion in the tropical lower stratosphere has been ongoing over recent years. Here the authors show that currently unregulated halogenated ozone-depleting very short-lived substances play a key role in this ongoing depletion.

Climate-driven variation in dispersal ability predicts responses to forest fragmentation in birds - Nature Ecology & EvolutionField survey data from 1,034 bird species worldwide are used to show that species’ sensitivities to habitat fragmentation are more strongly related to their dispersal ability than to latitude and past habitat disturbance, and that variation in dispersal ability is in turn strongly associated with climate.

Environmental and welfare gains via urban transport policy portfolios across 120 cities - Nature SustainabilityAlthough key to reducing transport greenhouse gas emissions, not much is known about city-level policies globally.
