Were you at Wembley 24 years ago today? You may spot yourself among these pictures from our archive watfordfc
It’s 24 years ago today since more than 30,000 Watford fans travelled to Wembley Stadium and were able to celebrate one of the greatest days in the club’s history.
Memories of Nick Wright’s stunning overhead kick and Allan Smart’s tears after his late promotion-clinching second goal in the 2-0 Play-Off Final triumph against Bolton Wanderers remain vivid to this day. Were you among the supporters at the game who helped turn one end of Wembley a wonderful sea of yellow and red?
We’ve taken another dip into our picture archive and below are selection of Hornets supporter scenes from inside the national stadium on that special day as Graham Taylor led the Hornets into the Premier League for the first time in the club’s history. We hope you enjoy looking through them.
