to discuss Micah Parson’s playing time against the Bears and how the team plans to handle the trade deadline.Tyron Smith looks like he could be a Future Hall of Famer, so we’re curious if when he’s healthy, does he automatically get his job back?Because he’s three or four weeks out, we really haven’t had that discussion. We’ve been so focused on each week, week-to-week, game-to-game. Again, these guys work week in and week out as a unit.
If it were up to Micah Parsons, he’d play on both sides of the ball, special teams, and everything like that.
Fans are hoping that this year will kind of be a unique year, there’s still a lot of football left to be played, but how important is how you evaluate your team in terms of going forward when you get to the trade deadline? Are you maybe more aggressive than you normally would be at the deadline?Well, we’ve been aggressive before. Somebody asked me today, ‘Hey, we hadn’t made a really aggressive trade since the early 90s.’ That’s not necessarily true.
You said potentially in the midst of a championship run, do you evaluate the team right now and say this is a team that could win a Super Bowl?Well, I think you see yesterday and our fans are excited, and I know we are, to see our offense and Dak [Prescott] getting in the rhythm. To see our offense be able to win a game for us and the other team did a good job running the football and they were able to put up almost 30 points, but we were able to put up the points we needed to win the game.
