Archie Andrews actor KJ Apa talks about Riverdale season 7 being the final season of the long-running CW series and teases an exciting finale.
Riverdale star KJ Apa has opened up about his thoughts on season 7 being the final season of the long-running series based on the Archie comics. Apa portrayed Archie Andrews since season 1, acting as the central figurehead while going through a multitude of character arcs throughout the series. In season 6, episode 22, following the destruction of Bailey's Comet, he and the town of Riverdale was sent back to the 1950s, where the start of season 7 will take place.
"A lot of us kind of saw it coming. We knew it was going to finish sooner rather than later. But overall, I feel lots of mixed emotions. I’m sad. It’s going to be really hard to say goodbye to Archie, to Riverdale. I can’t say I’m going to miss the red hair, but yeah. It’s going to be hard.
