The first Elevation trailer is out, previewing the upcoming apocalyptic action thriller that stars Anthony Mackie and Morena Baccarin.
The trailer doesn’t give away too much but does introduce Mackie, Baccarin, and Maddie Hasson’s characters as they venture out from their home to try and find supplies to help a sick child. As they do, they must cross into an area taken over by seemingly alien creatures, and fight to not only stay away from them, but make it back.
The movie comes as Mackie is set to have a big couple of years. After Elevation, the star will next appear in 2025’s Captain America: Brave New World, which is the actor’s first solo film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’ll also lend his voice to 2025’s The Electric State, a sci-fi adventure movie directed by the Russo brothers.
Elevation is directed by George Nolfi and written by John Glenn, Kenny Ryan, and Jacob Roman. Elevation reunites Mackie and Nolfi, as Mackie also starred in the 2011 sci-fi thriller The Adjustment Bureau. Alongside Mackie, Baccarin, and Hasson, Elevation also stars Tony Goldwyn and Danny Boyd Jr. Elevation is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on November 8, 2024. “Set in the post-apocalyptic Rocky Mountains, a single father and two women venture from the safety of their homes to face monstrous creatures to save the life of a young boy,” reads the film’s official synopsis.Anthony Nash has been writing about games and the gaming industry for nearly a decade.
