Another 'Blue Bloods' series is coming to TV. This one is about vampires and does not star Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg.

EW has confirmed that Paramount-owned company Awesomeness is developing a series based on author Melissa de la Cruz's YA books about vampires., the author describes the nine-book series this way:"Within New York City's most elite families, there lurks a secret society of celebrated Americans whose ancestors sailed on the Mayflower. They are the powerful and the wealthy — and in fact, they are not human. They are the Blue Bloods, an ancient group of vampires.
The story centers around Schuyler Van Alen, a misfit at her prestigious New York City private school who begins craving raw meat and seeing blue veins on her arms when she turns 15. Soon, she becomes enthralled in mysterious happenings, like a popular boy suddenly becoming interested in her and the death of a classmate.The vampire series is obviously different from the cop show, which also stars Donnie Wahlberg and Bridget Moynahan, that first aired in 2010.
The double names might not be too much of a problem, though, because the Selleck drama is on its way out, at least when it comes to new episodes. CBS announced in November that, despite high ratings. It was the No. 3 drama on broadcast television, with 9.54 million viewers, during the 2022-23 season, and it was the most-watched one on Friday nights.
