Based on Sarah Vaughan's novel, the story centres around a high-profile couple, Sophie and James Whitehouse - a- who are rocked by accusations of an awful crime. Sophie is determined to keep her family together and maintain her husband's innocence, as the case unfolds and the evidence mounts up.
The book examines the notion of consent, privilege and the legal system, with plenty of twists and turns – and no doubt these themes will be reflected in the screen adaption, too. According to Netflix, the series will "infiltrate Britain's elite through personal and political scandal, where the truth lies between justice and privilege". Juicy.Radio Times
