The production, adapted and directed by Rob Melrose, features outstanding performances from Dylan Godwin and the entire cast

Dylan Godwin, who was so stunning in “Born With Teeth” playing William Shakespeare, and so versatile in the one-man Christmas show “Fully Committed” previously at The Alley, is so convincing as Bob Cratchit that you just want to adopt him and sign the legal papers to have him a part of your own family.

And a strong ensemble it is, with multiple characters playing multiple roles, crisscrossing across the stage to deliver the narration in palatable doses, sticking to Dickens’ prose, and capturing a certain humorous tone that might not be funny, but is amusing and gives us a sense of the time period. But let’s get to the ghosts: Marley , The Past , The Present , and the foreboding Ghost of Christmas future. The the creep quotient is high.
