An already-beloved newcomer on the Austin pizza scene, Allday Pizza is among the future occupants of the former post office on Speedway in Hyde Park.
Allday opened alongsidein Tarrytown back in March; both businesses enjoy brisk trade on any given day of the week.
“This is a generational opportunity in Tarrytown, and we see the Hyde Park location as being a good headquarters for Allday” – one that reflects the operation’s ethos and dedication to high-quality ingredients and careful sourcing, says Sorg. “I have always been enamored with that building, and what they landed on is pretty cool.”
“We have been relying on an off-site kitchen near the airport, and the commute leaves a lot to be desired,” he continues. “It’s not great for the ingredients, especially the dough, which is a 48-hour cold fermented dough.” Sorg and his business partner, Townsend Smith, useflour in their dough, get their cheese from Wisconsin, and source seasonal vegetables from local farms.
