The driver ditched the car and is believed to have fled the scene on foot
The driver was unable to lose police on the 101 and 110 Freeways but evaded them in downtown LA. While the man avoided capture, authorities may still be able to track him down. The speeding driver of a black Alfa Romeo Giulia has managed to avoid arrest after leading police on a high-speed chase through Los Angeles last week. Police started to pursue the man at roughly 8:45 p.m. on the evening of the 22nd.
While the media helicopter, and a police helicopter, captured the driver’s every move, the driver showed no signs of slowing down and eventually made their way onto the 110 Freeway traveling at over 100 mph . At approximately the 7-minute mark of the video below, the driver exited the freeway and headed into downtown Los Angeles. They soon turned off into an underground parking garage and disappeared from view. Authorities quickly gathered around the building in Pershing Square to lock it down.
