'Haunted' Alec Baldwin complained about how Rust shooting cost him jobs, new audio reveals
Halyna Hutchins, 42, died after being shot in the armpit by a live round that somehow made its way into Alec Baldwin's prop gun on October 21, 2021. In a phone call five days later, he is heard begging cops to grill armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed. He said in that phone call that he'd lost work as a result of the accident and that it's 'really tough' on his kids. Footage has emerged of investigators telling Baldwin that Hutchins had died after interviewing him.
He was later seen outside the police station, sobbing on the phone in the parking lot. No one has been charged over Halyna's death but the investigation into the fatal shooting remains ongoing. On Monday, the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office released thousands of files from its investigation. They include never before seen videos of interviews, phone calls with police and evidence photos. In one call, Baldwin begs cops to 'indulge' his theory that the gun was tampered with.
