Join the USS Hornet Sea, Air & Space Museum for their first annual Arts and Craft Faire! From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 11, more than 50 booths of artists, food and beverage vendors, free parking and ship tours will be available.

As the relay concluded, hand-crafted luminaria, marked with the names of loved ones, lined the walking path. Alameda Red Cross youth and Alameda/Encinal Key Club youth helped during the event. A total of 14 teams participated in the Alameda Relay for Life effort, raising a total of over $50,000. All funds will support survivors, patients and their families.

An outdoor exhibit and sale of the works will be at the South Shore Shopping Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 3 in the center courtyard areas. The 360’s band will play from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Artist demos will be in the morning and afternoon. Want to see more? A selection of works will be on display and for sale at the Frank Bette Center for the Arts from Aug. 9 through Sept. 28.
