The bill would, "exempt the purchase of certain baby supplies, baby formula, maternity clothing, and menstrual hygiene products for personal use from sales and use tax."The bill outlines all products that are to be included, which are: bottles, formula, wipes, breast milk pumping products, breast pump, diapers, maternity clothing, and menstrual hygiene products.
The bill is sponsored by Senator Arthur Orr who says this bill is a way for the state to support women and families.
