Alabama's Australian punter James Burnip recently sampled Outback Steakhouse. Here's what he thought about the Bloomin' Onion and more.
Burnip discussed his visit to the chain restaurant Thursday, saying he enjoyed the chain’s signature dish, the Bloomin’ Onion.
Burnip is entering his third season with the Crimson Tide and has been UA’s starting punter since winning the job in camp his first year. He noted the food in the south as one of the major culture differences from Australia.“You like to have it all fried,” Burnip said. “That as well is a lot different.”
Burnip and his Alabama teammates are scheduled to continue preseason camp through Aug. 26. The Crimson Tide opens the season Sept. 2 against Middle Tennessee State.
