Hundreds of kids laced up and hit the field to get a one-on-one session.
Alabama star Quarterback Jalen Milroe hosted his first youth football summer camp this weekend.The three-day weekend included stops in Huntsville and Hoover.It was an exciting moment for not only the kids but Milroe as well.
“Very excited, very excited to have this camp,” Milroe said. “You know it’s all about opportunities having great people you know that allow me to use this stadium the sponsorships that’s provided along the camp. The coaches that volunteer the camp. This has been a great dream come true.”Milroe hopes to train up the next young star.
“I remember being a young quarterback playing the game and these kids right here you meet a lot of great people and then you also have the opportunity to play some great football,” Milroe said. One summer camp attendee Ricardo Reed said he might be heading to the rival team with hopes of going to Georgia.Despite the friendly competition, it was all about having fun.Hannah says it’s more than just football.
“It’s very important not only for the kids but just to give back to the community to show that it’s bigger than football,” Coach Hannah said. “It’s a lot of kids that are out there that will have the privilege to one day play high school football have the privilege to play college football.
