Three-month-old Greyson Randal Gray died May 5, 2022. Authorities said methamphetamine was detected in his system when he was born. His parents, Jessica Minor, 35, and Randall Chester Gray II, 40, were arrested Friday following a grand jury indictment.
The parents of an infant boy who died last year were arrested today in connection with his death.
On May 5, 2022, the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 14000 block of Shady Woods Lane in Coker on an unresponsive 3-month-old, said Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Capt. Jack Kennedy.Greyson was taken to the hospital but did not survive. Investigators discovered that methamphetamine had been detected in the baby’s system when the child was born in February 2022. At that time, Minor was charged with chemical endangerment of a child and arrested on Aug. 17, 2022.
Violent Crime Unit investigators then consulted with a series of medical experts, re-interviewed the parents, and presented the findings to the District Attorney’s Office and subsequent grand jury.
