An Atlantic City hotel and casino has banned guests under the age of 21 from using its pool and fitness center after receiving complaints about kids in the pool.“Due to customer demand, Bally’s Pool & Fitness will be available to ADULTS ONLY ,” the casino said on Instagram. “Kick back, relax, and take a dip!”
In a statement on Monday, the casino said complaints about children in the swimming pool prompted the new policy. “The pool is an amenity for our hotel guests. After receiving many complaints, Bally’s changed its pool accessibility to guests 21 years or older, and it has been well received,” said Michael Monty, General Manager of Bally’s Atlantic City.“That’s a great idea,” wrote one Instagram poster, while another said: “We as adults are spending the money we need a place to relax and cool off.”
Bally’s customers with children still hoping to cool down at an indoor venue on the boardwalk this summer might consider heading over to the new waterpark several blocks away.The waterpark, which opened in July, features 11 slides, a 1,000 square-foot surf simulator, a lazy river, kids cove, and an exclusive adult-only paradise island with the only swim-up bar in Atlantic City. Attractions such as the Riptide Zip Line and the Coconut Zero-Gravity Coaster are not yet available.
