Ole Miss took an early 7-0 lead and held a 17-14 advantage at the end of the first quarter. Nye sparked a 6-0 Alabama run with a jumper, and she and Zaay Green connected on back-to-back 3-pointers to give the Tide the lead for good with less than two minutes remaining in the first half.

Green added a layup and JeAnna Cunningham hit one of two free throws to extend Alabama's lead to 12 points late in the third quarter, 51-39. Nye continued to shoot well from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter, while the Rebels managed to close the gap with 3-pointers from Tameiya Sadler and KK Deans in the final minute. Nye added a late free throw to seal the victory for the Tide. Nye, who only made 1 of 8 3-pointers against Texas, shot 7 of 11 from long range. Green went 4 of 5 from three-point range and finished with 27 points, and Diana Collins chipped in 11 points. The Tide (16-2, 3-1 SEC) shot 12 of 19 from beyond the arc and 28 of 50 from the field. For Mississippi (11-5, 2-2), Starr Jacobs had 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Deans scored 13 points off the bench and Kennedy Todd-Williams and Christeen Iwuala each added 11 points.
