But with the right pitch from Hartzell and the right price from SMU, it’s an possibility the Mustangs should undoubtedly pursue.Del Conte has led Texas colleges since 2006, making stops at Rice, TCU and Texas since 2017. Taking on the role at SMU as it continues its transition to power-conference status could be an exciting challenge.
With ACC experience as the former Miami athletic director, he could be a target for SMU as an experienced AD in multiple power conferences.
