80-year-old Seattle dog walker remembered after carjacking by family and community

Melanie Roberts recalled her grandmother Ruth Dalton's passion for animals that took up much of her time and her heart.

“I got married 7 weeks ago and I told my grandmother as far in advance as I could, because if I didn't, she would be walking dogs,” Roberts explained. “This was more than full-time work. This was seven days a week! This was whenever people needed her.” “I can hear my grandma just thanking God for that and being so grateful that little dog made it through,” Roberts stated.

“They sent me a picture of Cowboy staring out the window waiting for grandma coming to get him,” Roberts explained.
