The facility will have up to 70 high-end personal computers to run popular team video games like Call of Duty, League of Legions, and Valorant, a five-on-five tactical shooter contest. For, this is the first located near a college campus.
“In a lot of ways our decision to go with Rowan as our first university venue was driven by the vision of their president, Dr. Ali Houshmand,” Nerd Street CEO John Fazio said in an email Tuesday. “Dr. Houshmand not only supported his student and staff desires for an esports program, but also had his own clear vision on the future of the industry and why this type of facility is necessary.
