Five people are charged with attempted murder following an Alabama bar brawl.

Five people - three men and two women - are facing charges of attempted murder in connection with a bar brawl that happened back in December in Florence.

According to Florence police, Willie Lamont Shelby, 39, Marcus Cole, 33, Ronnie Shelby, 54, Jamia Nash Shelby, 46, and Dontramese Littleton, 29, were indicted by a Lauderdale County grand jury last month in connection with the incident.According to police, the victim in the incident attempted to break up a verbal argument at the bar when she was jumped “by several subjects.” The fight broke up and the victim and her friends went outside.

When they returned to retrieve them, police said, the fight restarted. Jamia Shelby and Littleton began kicking and punching the victim. Willie and Ronnie Shelby and Marcus Cole blocked the club bouncers and others from breaking up the fight. All five people were originally charged with third degree assault. However, medical records obtained by investigators showed the victim suffered hearing loss in one ear.Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
