Four people were hurt when police say a wrong-way driver who possibly suffered a medical emergency rammed into a tractor trailer and SEPTA bus in Delaware County.
The violent crash happened around 7 p.m. at the busy intersection of West Chester Pike and Eagle Road, according to police.
Chief Joseph Hagan from the Haverford Fire Department said witnesses reported seeing an SUV driving erratically in the eastbound lanes, before crossing over the median into the westbound side. The vehicle crashed into oncoming traffic and wound up vertically wedged between a SEPTA bus and a tractor trailer.
Four people, including the SUV driver and a bus passenger, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Police are thankful the crash wasn't much worse, as there were people in the crosswalk who managed to avoid the wreck.
