Quantum computing startup Oxford Ionics has raised £30 million in Series A funding.

Oxford Ionics’ announcement comes at a start of a year that is expected to herald a number of shifts in the thinking and doing about quantum computing. Instead of focusing on one processor, one very large quantum computer , 2023 will see “modular quantum computers,” with a number of relatively small quantum computing processors linked over short and long distances.
