LAFAYETTE — Indiana State Police have canceled a Silver Alert for a missing 3-month-old child from Lafayette after he was found dead.Jacob Moneus was reported missing on Saturday and a Silver Alert was issued due to the extreme danger he was believed to be in. According to Lafayette Police Department, Moneus was located dead inside the apartment where he was reported missing from.

In a second search on the apartment on Sunday, the body of Jacob was located in a hidden place within the apartment. The department explained his body was in a place that a normal person wouldn't think to look. Jacob's death has been ruled a homicide. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
