Raegan Revord as Missy and Annie Potts as Meemaw in Young Sheldon
Summary Three cast members of Young Sheldon are confirmed to return for Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. Less than two months after the unexpected death of George, life will continue for the Coopers via the next spinoff in The Big Bang Theory franchise. Spearheaded by Chuck Lorre, Steve Holland, and Steven Molaro, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage will follow Montana Jordan and Emily Osment's characters as they navigate the early years of their marriage.
“We’re going slowly on this. There’s a learning curve for us. But, you know, Georgie’s mother and sister and grandmother are very much part of this world.” Coming back for Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage allows the producers to make up for this issue. However, that's just one reason why Perry, Revord, and Potts need to return for the Young Sheldon sequel. The second one has to do with the established The Big Bang Theory canon which says that Georgie took care of his mom and sister after the death of his dad. It will be difficult to do that if Mary and Missy are absent from his married life.
4 Ideally, all three would be official cast members in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. At this point, however, this confirmation should be enough to excite Young Sheldon fans who have their reservations about the sequel series. Perhaps after seeing just how great Mary, Missy, and Meemaw are in the show, CBS might change their minds and finally properly bring them in.
