$2M San Antonio home brings modern Mexican style to Camp Bullis area’s Texas Hill Country-style houses
A courtyard surrounded on three sides by the house is a comfortable seating area with an L-shaped outdoor sofa and a pair of lounge chairs.Antonio and Anna Gaona are both originally from the Mexican state of Chihuahua, so when they began planning their new home in the Estates of Forest Crest neighborhood near Camp Bullis, they knew the look they were after.
The dazzlingly modern, Mexican-style home was designed by San Antonio-based architecture firm the Mayu Group.At just shy of $2 million, the house was completed in December following an 11-month build. Pandemic-related supply shortages delayed construction by about a month and a half and also caused prices to jump, according to Clint Bayless, owner of Bayless Custom Homes.
Antonio Gaona said he and his wife envisioned the house as a place where they could entertain effortlessly.
