College football is officially back! The Southeastern Conference saw its members win two Power 4 games, lose two home games to playoff contenders, welcome new coaches and introduce the nation to new heroes in the first official week of the new season.

No preseason rankings, recruiting talent composites or programatic expectations are accounted for, the only formula is wins and losses as we dissect college football's top conference. This year we welcome two new victims into the SEC's meat-grinder as Texas and Oklahoma officially make us a party of 16. However, the first week's Power Ranking does only feature 15 teams as the LSU Tigers play the USC Trojans on Sunday night.
