2024 Buick Encore GX Gets Wildcat-Inspired Facelift, Avenir Trim And High-Tech Interior | Carscoops carscoops
Billed as “modern, sophisticated and stylish,” the facelifted crossover sports a new design that was previewed by last year’sThe changes immediately stand out as the model has a rounded nose that features Buick’s new tri-shield logo and is flanked by “winged LED headlamps.” The grille has also been reimagined and moved further down, while the bumper sports a more expressive appearance.The rest of the design largely carries over, but buyers will find new 18- and 19-inch wheels.
, the Encore GX gets a high-tech makeover for 2024. In the case of the Buick, the crossover has been outfitted with a Virtual Cockpit System that consists of an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11-inch infotainment system. The latter is the largest screen in its segment and a huge improvement over the old 8-inch display. Furthermore, Buick says the infotainment system has a “sleek new layout,” a customizable home screen, and support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
While luxury is the name of the game, the Encore GX Avenir is distinguished by a unique grille, chrome accents, and exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels. Designers also gave the crossover unique taillights and black carbon metallic flourishes. Front-wheel drive comes standard and it sees the crossover outfitted with a continuously variable transmission that should enable the model to return up to 30 mpg combined. All-wheel drive is also available and it comes paired with a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
