Q: Why are you seeking this position?
A: My “judicial philosophy” is straightforward: Listen intently to the facts and arguments of the litigants and A: The allowance of media cameras and voice recorders should rarely be precluded from the courtroom. These are, after all, public courtrooms, owned by the citizenry. The courts should always strive for the utmost in transparency. There are, of course, times when that allowance should be checked, sometimes precluded, and sometimes simply limited.
A: The events around and following the death of George Floyd made it clear that many in our society harbor significant distrust in the fairness of the entire justice system. And if the justice system is not trusted, then we lose the very foundation upon which it stands.
