A fatal hit-and-run crash between a cyclist and truck in Centerville ended with the driver dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in West Bountiful Saturday, police said.

Witnesses informed police that a Toyota Tundra had fled the scene following the crash. Based on vehicle descriptions by witnesses, police went to the West Bountiful home of Justin Dewayne Bennett, 43, and noticed "vehicle pieces" on the ground outside the home at 1359 N. 600 West, Centerville Police Lt. Allen Ackerson said in a statement.
